Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. The majority of zinc-finger proteins contain several Krüppel-type DNA binding domains that are frequently observed to be involved in sequence-specific DNA binding. ZNF441 is a 626 amino acid transcriptional regulator belonging to the Krüppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. ZNF441 localizes to the nucleus and contains 19 C2H2-type zinc fingers. ZNF441 is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 19, which contains a diversity of interesting genes and is recognized for having the greatest gene density of the human chromosomes. Chromosome19 is the genetic home for a number of immunoglobulin superfamily members including the killer cell and leukocyte Ig-like receptors, a number of ICAMs, the CEACAM and PSG family, and FcR. Key genes for eye color and hair color also map to chromosome 19. Product :

Describe :

Blocking peptides are peptides that bind specifically to the target antibody and block antibody binding. These peptide usually contains the epitope recognized by the antibody. Antibodies bound to the blocking peptide no longer bind to the epitope on the target protein. This mechanism is useful when non-specific binding is an issue, for example, in Western blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). By comparing the staining from the blocked antibody versus the antibody alone, one can see which staining is specific; Specific binding will be absent from the western blot or IHC performed with the neutralized antibody.
