Ral GDS (Ral guanine nucleotide dissociation stimulator) is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that activates Ral and is implicated in oncogenic Ras-induced cell transformation. RGL1 (ral guanine nucleotide dissociation stimulator-like 1), also known as RGL or RalGDS-like 1, is a 768 amino acid protein that is a putative GEF. Strongly expressed in brain, heart, spleen, kidney and testis, RGL1 is a downstream effector protein that is involved in Ras and Ral signaling pathways. RGL1 contains an N-terminal Ras-GEF domain and a C-terminal Ras-interacting domain that interacts with the GTP-bound form of Ras through its effector loop. Due to its similarity to Ral GDS, RGL1 may be implicated in carcinogenesis. Two isoforms exist due to alternative splicing events. Product :

Blocking peptides are peptides that bind specifically to the target antibody and block antibody binding. These peptide usually contains the epitope recognized by the antibody. Antibodies bound to the blocking peptide no longer bind to the epitope on the target protein. This mechanism is useful when non-specific binding is an issue, for example, in Western blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). By comparing the staining from the blocked antibody versus the antibody alone, one can see which staining is specific; Specific binding will be absent from the western blot or IHC performed with the neutralized antibody.Formula:
