Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. The majority of zinc-finger proteins contain a Krueppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which is thought to interact with KAP1, thereby recruiting histone modifying proteins. ZSCAN22 (zinc finger and SCAN domain-containing protein 22), also known as HKR2 or ZNF50 (zinc finger protein 50), is a 491 amino acid nuclear protein. Belonging to the Krueppel C2 H2-type zinc-finger protein family, ZSCAN22 contains eight C2 H2-type zinc fingers and one SCAN box domain. ZSCAN22 may be involved in transcriptional regulation, and becomes phosphorylated upon DNA damage. Product :

Describe :

Blocking peptides are peptides that bind specifically to the target antibody and block antibody binding. These peptide usually contains the epitope recognized by the antibody. Antibodies bound to the blocking peptide no longer bind to the epitope on the target protein. This mechanism is useful when non-specific binding is an issue, for example, in Western blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). By comparing the staining from the blocked antibody versus the antibody alone, one can see which staining is specific; Specific binding will be absent from the western blot or IHC performed with the neutralized antibody.
