The majority of zinc-finger proteins contain a Krueppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which is thought to interact with KAP1, thereby recruiting histone modifying proteins. ZNF191 (Zinc finger protein 191), also known as ZNF24, KOX17, ZSCAN3 or RSG-A, is a 368 amino acid nuclear protein that belongs to the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. Expressed in tissues throughout the body with the exception of heart, ZNF191 functions as a transcriptional repressor for a variety of proteins, such as VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor), and is thought to be important for early embryonic development and cell proliferation. ZNF191 contains four C2H2-type zinc fingers and one SCAN box domain and, upon DNA damage, may be phosphorylated by ATM or ATR. Product :

Describe :

Blocking peptides are peptides that bind specifically to the target antibody and block antibody binding. These peptide usually contains the epitope recognized by the antibody. Antibodies bound to the blocking peptide no longer bind to the epitope on the target protein. This mechanism is useful when non-specific binding is an issue, for example, in Western blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). By comparing the staining from the blocked antibody versus the antibody alone, one can see which staining is specific; Specific binding will be absent from the western blot or IHC performed with the neutralized antibody.
