Bex3, also known as p75NTR-associated cell death executor (NADE), nerve growth factor receptor-associated protein 1 or ovarian granulosa cell 13 kDa protein HGR74, is a member of the Bex family involved in zinc-triggered neuronal cell death. It can be found in prostate, testis, liver, ovarian granulosa cells and seminal vesicle tissue shuttling between the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Bex3 interacts with Smac (second mitochondria-derived activator of caspase) via its C-terminal and regulates apoptosis by the inhibition of Smac ubiquitination. Bex3 also interacts with itself and the NGFR p75 DEATH domain. Bex3 may play a significant role in the pathogenosis of neurogenetic diseases. Product :

Describe :

Blocking peptides are peptides that bind specifically to the target antibody and block antibody binding. These peptide usually contains the epitope recognized by the antibody. Antibodies bound to the blocking peptide no longer bind to the epitope on the target protein. This mechanism is useful when non-specific binding is an issue, for example, in Western blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). By comparing the staining from the blocked antibody versus the antibody alone, one can see which staining is specific; Specific binding will be absent from the western blot or IHC performed with the neutralized antibody.
