Small non-coding RNAs are important regulators of gene expression in higher eukaryotes. MicroRNAs are about 21 nucleotides in length and have been implicated in many cellular processes such as development, differentiation, and stress response. MicroRNAs regulate gene expression by modulating mRNA translation or stability. MicroRNAs function together with the protein components in the complexes called micro-ribonucleoproteins (miRNPs). Among the most important components in these complexes are Argonaute proteins. There are four members in the mammalian Argonaute family and only Argonaute 2 (Ago2) possesses the Slicer endonuclease activity . Describe :

Blocking peptides are peptides that bind specifically to the target antibody and block antibody binding. These peptide usually contains the epitope recognized by the antibody. Antibodies bound to the blocking peptide no longer bind to the epitope on the target protein. This mechanism is useful when non-specific binding is an issue, for example, in Western blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
