1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
GAPDH (a531) pAb detects endogenous levels of GAPDH protein.
WB:1:5000-1:10000
Glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) iswell known as one of the key enzymes involved in glycolysis. As well as functioning as a glycolytic enzyme in cytoplasm, recent evidence suggests that mammalian GAPDHis also involved in a great number of intracellular procesessuch as membrane fusion, microtubule bundling, phosphotransferaseactivity, nuclear RNA export, DNA replication, and DNA repair. During the last decade a lot of data appearedconcerning the role of GAPDH in different pathologies includingprostate cancer progression, programmed neuronalcell death, age related neuronal diseases, such as Alzheimer'sand Huntington's disease. GAPDH is expressed in all cells. It is constitutively expressed in almost all tissues at high levels. There are however some physiological factors such ashypoxia and diabetes that increase GAPDH expression in certaincell types. GAPDH molecule is composed of four 36kDasubunits.
