1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
β–Amyloid 1-40 antibody detects endogenous levels of β–Amyloid 1-40 protein.
WB: 1:500~1:1000 IHC: 1:50~1:200

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of β–Amyloid 1-40 antibody in paraffin-embedded human Alzheimer's disease brain tissue.
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Proteolytic cleavage of the amyloid protein precursor (APP, also designated A4) leads to the formation of a 4 kDa Amyloidβ/A4 protein (also designatedβ–Amyloid). This protein is involved in the formation of neurofibrillary tanges and plaques that characterize the senile plaques of Alzheimer patients. Amyloid deposition is associated with a variety of neurological disorders in addition to Alzheimer’s disease, including type II diabetes and Down’s syndrome.
